I have promissed myself that I will avoid my work/profession as a topic of my blog. After all, look what has happened to Dooce!! (Come to think of it, it seems to have worked out well for her...oh, well...
I have a job. I think it is a good job. Most of the time I like my job. I can buy stuff I want because I have a job. But the best thing about my job is that nothing, absolutely nothing that I do is a matter of life and death. Deadlines can come and go--and might be missed, but no one is harmed beyond repair. I get stuff done---but if I don't , again no one is harmed beyond repair.
So I guess my job is "nice". Of maybe I have just finally been able to put it into perspective. At the end of the day, whatever is left, will be there tomorrow!! It is not that there are not frustrating things about my job---it is just that I am beyond being frustrated by them.
And I cannot wait until Tuesday, when our staff will have a professional development hour on pest control. Apparently my office is "nice"---even to the unwelcome insects!!
